Jennifer Doudna, PhD, is a Nobel Prize–winning biochemist whose work revolutionized biology and medicine. A co-inventor of CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technology, she received the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for enabling a precise, programmable way to edit DNA. Doudna is a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and a leading voice on the ethical and societal implications of genome editing.
